She has a PhD in History from the University of Santiago de Compostela and is a secondary school teacher working as a civil servant for the Xunta de Galicia. Her research activity is presently centred on the War of Independence and the figure of Martín de Garay. She has participated in many congresses and given courses at several Universities (A Coruña 2008, Pamplona 2008, Cádiz 2008, Valencia 2009, A Coruña 2009, Benicassim 2009). She has likewise written articles in specialized journals and co-authored books in which she highlights the importance of the said politician for the transition from the Old Regime to modern times.
