Lecturer in History (Napoleonic Europe and Modern Spain)

He is presently working on a study about the Napoleonic Reign in Spain (1808 - 1813), and is a historian who focuses on the military, political and social aspects of history. Mr. Esdaile is an expert on the Napoleonic era in Spain and more precisely on the Peninsular War from 1808 - 1814. However, his work covers the history of Spain from 1788 to 1939, as well as the general history of Napoleon and his Empire.
