Documents
One of the most interesting things of the exhibition will be the related documents of the Reconquest of Vigo, most of them are unpublished. These documents, that have a great historic value, had been located in the National History Archive and in the Military History Archive, both in Madrid, they were found in different Galician archives too.
Some of the exhibited documents will be the Vigo’s surrender, signed by the commanding officer Chalot, an edict of the Napoleonic authorities to the people from Vigo, posts between the Mayor of the city Vazquez Varela and the people of the revolt, the Morillo’s final report about the Reconquest, and the first edict published by Cachamuiña.
